A pricing change, and what a task now means

<p>Our pricing changes on 1 August. The headline is that the definition of a task gets narrower and the free plan gets bigger, and for most accounts the monthly bill goes down rather than up.</p><p>Until now a task was any record a flow processed. That counted records a filter threw away and it counted retries after a temporary failure, which meant a flow could burn through an allowance doing nothing useful. From 1 August a task is one record successfully written to a destination app. Filtered records are free, reads are free, and a retry of a record you already paid for is free. Looking back at May, that change alone would have cut billable volume by about 22 percent across all accounts.</p><p>Against that, Starter goes from 24 to 28 dollars a month and keeps its 2,000 tasks, Team goes from 79 to 89 dollars and rises from 10,000 to 15,000 tasks, and Scale stays at 249 dollars with 60,000 tasks. The free plan doubles from 250 to 500 tasks a month and keeps its fifteen minute polling interval. Annual billing still takes two months off the yearly total.</p><p>Existing paid accounts keep their current price until 1 February 2027, and the new task definition applies to everyone from 1 August whether or not the price change has reached them yet. Nobody pays more before they have had six months of paying less per record.
