Move a HubSpot deal when a Trello card changes list
Map each list onto a pipeline stage and one drag keeps the CRM current, so nobody updates the same piece of work in two systems.
How this flow works
Syncline watches Trello for Card moved between lists. When that happens it runs Update a deal stage in HubSpot with the fields you mapped.
- Connect Trello and pick the board that mirrors your pipeline.
- Connect the HubSpot portal and approve the deals scope.
- Map every list onto a stage, and leave lists you do not want mapped out of the table.
- Drag one card, check the deal, then walk the board through end to end once.
Field mapping
| From Trello | To HubSpot | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Card name | Company | The card is named after the account, which is how the flow finds the deal without anyone pasting an ID. |
| List | Lifecycle stage | Each list maps to one stage, and a list with no mapping stops the run rather than guessing where the deal belongs. |
| Members | Owner | The person who moved the work is matched to a HubSpot user by email and set as the deal owner. |
| Labels | Deal amount | A price label such as Retainer sets the value, but only when the deal does not already carry an amount. |
Why teams run it
- Sales updates the pipeline by dragging a card
- Forecasting works even for a team that hates the CRM
- An unmapped list fails loudly rather than moving the wrong deal
Who uses it
A sales manager whose reps live on a Trello board and whose board reports come from HubSpot.
About the two apps
Trello
Trello is the task board people actually keep updated, because moving a card takes one second. Syncline creates those cards from other systems and reports back when they move.
HubSpot
HubSpot is the record of who your customers are and how far along they got. Syncline feeds it from the places leads actually arrive, and pushes deal changes back out to the team.
