Advance a HubSpot deal on the first Stripe payment
A successful charge moves the matching deal to the stage you choose and writes the amount, so the pipeline reflects money rather than optimism.
How this flow works
Syncline watches Stripe for Payment succeeded. When that happens it runs Update a deal stage in HubSpot with the fields you mapped.
- Connect Stripe with read scopes and the HubSpot portal with the deals scope.
- Choose the stage a paid deal should move to.
- Map the customer email onto the contact so the right deal is found.
- Push one test charge through, check the deal, then connect the live account.
Field mapping
| From Stripe | To HubSpot | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Customer email | The address matches the existing contact, and the run history names the record and deal it landed on. | |
| Amount | Deal amount | Minor units become a decimal before the write, so a 4900 charge sets the deal at 49.00 rather than at 4900. |
| Status | Lifecycle stage | A succeeded charge writes customer, and a past due subscription can write the contact back to opportunity. |
| Currency | Deal amount | The currency travels beside the figure, so a euro payment is never read as dollars in a forecast. |
Why teams run it
- Closed won means paid, not promised
- Reps stop updating stages after the money arrives
- Forecasts reconcile against the payments account
Who uses it
A revenue operations manager whose pipeline and bank statement never quite agreed.
About the two apps
Stripe
Stripe knows the moment money arrives, fails or goes back out. Syncline turns each of those events into something your team can see and act on within a couple of minutes.
HubSpot
HubSpot is the record of who your customers are and how far along they got. Syncline feeds it from the places leads actually arrive, and pushes deal changes back out to the team.
