Announce HubSpot deal stage changes in Slack
Every deal that moves is called out in the channel, with the old stage, the new stage, the value and the rep in one readable line.
How this flow works
Syncline watches HubSpot for Deal stage changed. When that happens it runs Post a message to a channel in Slack with the fields you mapped.
- Connect the HubSpot portal and approve the deals scope.
- Pick the channel, and decide which stages are worth announcing.
- Compose the line: company, movement, amount, owner.
- Drag one test deal, read the post, then add a value filter if the channel is busy.
Field mapping
| From HubSpot | To Slack | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Company | Message text | The company opens the line, because that is the word a person scans for. |
| Deal amount | Message text | The value is written with its currency, so the channel sees the size of a move and not only that one happened. |
| Owner | Channel | Deals can route to a rep specific channel, or all to one, depending on how your team is organised. |
| Message text | The contact address travels in the footer so anyone can search the channel for that customer later. |
Why teams run it
- Wins get noticed the minute they happen
- Slipping deals are visible without a pipeline review
- A value filter keeps the channel about the deals that matter
Who uses it
A sales director who wants the team to feel momentum without opening a dashboard.
About the two apps
HubSpot
HubSpot is the record of who your customers are and how far along they got. Syncline feeds it from the places leads actually arrive, and pushes deal changes back out to the team.
Slack
Slack is where a team notices things, which makes it the best place to put an alert and the worst place to store one. Syncline sends messages into channels when something happens elsewhere, and turns the replies worth keeping into records.
