Append HubSpot call notes to the account page in Notion

The detail a rep types after a call is added to the account doc your delivery team reads, dated and attributed, without anyone copying anything.

Trigger: New note on a company
Action: Append blocks to a page
About 10 minutes to set up

How this flow works

Syncline watches HubSpot for New note on a company. When that happens it runs Append blocks to a page in Notion with the fields you mapped.

  1. Connect the HubSpot portal and approve the companies and notes scopes.
  2. Share the Notion database holding one page per account.
  3. Tell the flow to find the page by company name and set what a note block looks like.
  4. Log one note in HubSpot, read the page in Notion, then enable the flow.

Field mapping

From HubSpotTo NotionNote
CompanyTitleThe company name finds the Notion page, and a company with no page is reported rather than guessed at.
OwnerAssigneeThe rep who logged the note is matched to a workspace member by email, so the page shows who spoke to the client.
Lifecycle stageStatusThe page status follows the funnel, so a doc never claims a customer is still a lead.
EmailTagsThe contact address becomes a tag, which is how several notes about one person group together.

Why teams run it

  • Delivery reads what sales was told, in their own doc
  • Notes are appended, so nothing already on the page is rewritten
  • The account doc stops being a snapshot from kickoff week

Who uses it

A delivery lead who plans work in Notion and never gets told what was promised on the call.

About the two apps

HubSpot

HubSpot is the record of who your customers are and how far along they got. Syncline feeds it from the places leads actually arrive, and pushes deal changes back out to the team.

All HubSpot flows

Notion

Notion holds the pages and databases most teams treat as their second brain. Syncline reads those databases on a schedule and writes rows back, so a page never has to be retyped somewhere else.

Questions

Does this overwrite the page?
No. Blocks are added to the end of the body, so your structure, headings and anything a person wrote stay exactly where they were.
What if the account has no Notion page yet?
Add a create step before the append. The flow then makes the page from your template on the first note and appends to it after that.
